HELLO

Let me introduce myself, I am Bethany and I am a final year Media and Communication student at Bournemouth University. 

I am originally from Cornwall and I can't wait to move back there after my studies because although I love my student life in Bournemouth, my heart belongs by the Cornish coast.

This blog is a collection of my writing since 2015. When I have been quiet, I have been working away on university assignments so I will be also including some of those on here too as I have had the opportunity to write creatively within my course. 

Originally this blog was created when I was nineteen in a break between college and university. I had no idea what I wanted to do or what I wanted to study but in an attempt to keep myself busy and motivated I used this space to write about anything from makeup to what I was up-to, as a kind of "online diary". Writing for this blog ultimately led to my decision to apply to study Communication and Media at university as I realised a career in media was my calling. 

Now my main interests are lifestyle and creative writing. Throughout my degree I have focused on dating in the digital age, environmental issues particularly single-use plastic, women in the media and charity work. 

In an attempt to get a dream job by the sea I am using this blog as a portfolio, so I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
